The Apple Cottage Company can be summed up by a quote from William Morris, the multi talented artist and poet. Morris said "Have nothing in your home that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful." Although Morris lived in the 19th century we believe his comment to be even more relevant in today's fast moving 24-7 world of gismos and gadgets.

The Apple Cottage Company was founded by textile designer and artist Susan Young. Susan graduated from Gray's School of Art in 1993 and since then has created everything from wedding dresses and handbags to textiles and fine art. Her attention to detail and eye for design is evident in all Apple Cottage Company products.

Based in the small village of Johnshaven on the North East Coast of Scotland, we draw inspiration from the coast and surrounding countryside.

Every item in our range is hand stitched with the care and personal attention that only a small and dedicated company can offer.
